Everything exists
in a state of decay.
Clothes tatter, tools dull, bodies age, skin wrinkles, ink bleeds.
what remains consistent amongst all things animate and inanimate is that they will all wear down with use and time.
Decay doesn’t have to be bleak.
It often produces beauty.
Flavours bloom as fruit ripens.
Worn down objects tell stories.
Beings grow wiser as their bodies grow older.
I think I could dedicate all aspects of my art to exploring the beauty in decay.
It’d be a lot less lonely if you joined me in that exploration.
